Try Out

We offer a three week trial period which should give you an opportunity to see if your child would like to join our Group. Please see the New Members page for more info.

Uniform

A uniform is not required during the trial; however, you will need to purchase one prior to officially joining our Group (which we call an Investiture) which is usually held on the 4th-6th week of attendance after fees are paid.

Fees

For details of the current Membership Fees, please see Fee Structure. If you join as a volunteer Leader (in any Section) then your fees and training costs are covered by the Group, and your children’s fees will be subsidised by the Group.

We Need Your Help, Too!

The youth programs are run by our team of volunteer Section Leaders who have undertaken extensive Scout Association training in youth leadership. The Group’s administration and finance is handled by the Group Support (Parents’) Committee who also after look hall maintenance and fundraising etc. Scouting is totally run by volunteers. Whilst your child is involved, we expect you to become part of our community and become involved in what we do, by becoming Leaders, or working on the Group Support Committee, or running activities, sharing skills and participating in our fundraising activities.

Why should your kid(s) have all the fun?

Please feel free to contact me at any time should you have any questions whatsoever, or if I can assist you in any other way.

We trust you and your family will enjoy many years of Scouting with us.

Yours in Scouting,

Jason Troy
Chief (aka Group Leader).
